In todays world its not only important to have a meth/water injection kit to save your engine, but its important to have devices to detect if your water/meth injection kit has failed or has a problem. You have an investment in your engine so a failsafe is a must. A true failsafe needs to be flow sensor based, must be able to have an adjustable window of low and high flow as well as detection of low fluid level. The all new CMGS does this. Starting 10/12/2009 all CMGS kits will ship with a flow sensor, low level indicator and flash with new failsafe code.
Even if your engine is not at risk if you run out of fluid, do you want to know whats going on? How do you know if your system is working? What if its not flowing or flowing less or more? CMGS will now tell you. The display will flash "000" when there is a fault and there is a failsafe output that you can configure to turn off a boost controller or manipulate a wastegate solenoid or on some vehicles you can interface with the ECU directly to perform your failsafe..
What makes coolingmist CMGS so special when other companies have a failsafe? There are only a handful of companies that have a flow sensor based failsafe. What sets CMGS apart from all the others is the ALL IN ONE APPROACH. Lets look at our main competitor. You have to purchase a water/meth kit from them which will have a progressive controller. This controller measures approx 3.5 X 3.5 inches. The kit will cost you from $400 to $900 depending on the model you want. Now you need a failsafe. The failsafe retails for about $159 and is about 4 inches X 3 inches. Now you need to get the Flow Gauge which is around $150. Also...you probably have or want a boost gauge in your vehicle that you want to mount. Thats 2 controllers to mount and 2 gauges. Besides the fact that the cost is anywhere from 40% to 50% more than ours due to all the additional hardware...with the CMGS you need only mount a small 52 MM gauge.
Other things of note. Various Coolingmist VC2 (vari-cool II )kits also have the FS flash, however the Coolingmist stage 1 VC2 does not have this capability.
