I have a VARICOOL with PWM solenoid/valve. I don't see this item listed on the product page anymore. Why have these been discontinued?

They became rather expensive and we have upgraded our pumps to 250 psi version, the pwm valve can only handle 125 PSI back pressure. Due to those reasons they were discontinued. We have since those days upgraded every part of our systems from controllers, to the hose, fittings, injectors, etc.

Can Vari-Cool II or CMGS be used to replace my controller; ie pwm the valve. Just now doing the install.. some personal stuff put my project on long pause.

I was looking around for a flow gauge which led me back to your controllers. Wish I had waited; actually bought my kit Oct 15, 2007.

Also, can I get a downlink to the latest software to program my controller.

The CMGS/VC2 are compatible with the high speed valve. PWM output is the same 400 hz. Its never a good idea to wait unless you know whats around the corner. I never would have dream we could have this product in 2007. It was a year later before this began development.

software is here:

Thanks for the link.. downloaing now. I am pretty happy with my original purchase. The quality of the kit is top shelf. Just wish I wasn't now stuck with the choice of an additional $250 conroller plus $135 flow sensor or a less sophisticated $200 AEM flow guage to see what my system is doing.

Kudos again on an overall excellent product.

I've finally installed the kit but it flows continuosly even when pwm leads to S-HSV are disconnected. What can I check? Could the S-HSV be malfunctioning?

is it a drip every so many seconds or high flow? did you setup the shut off switch (brass pressure switch) ? The pwm valve can only have about 125 psi behind it. If the pressure is too high it will force the valve open.

Let me me know.

the pressure switch is turned all the way in... lowest mark shows 120 so I expect that it should be at or just over 120. It is a high flow.

turn the pressure switch down and see if it turns off or keeps injecting.

This is not normal behaviour.

email us and I will get you an address to send the valve. Im going to have to test it. It may have debris in there, I dont know.

optinally you can take the valves apart and check but i will be glad to as well.

I have been unable to send an email from this forum page will send email from my gmail account. When I opened the two solenoids on the valve I saw some sort of clover pattern springs inside and stopped there since I didn't want to go further into something I didn't understand. If you could guide me as to how to try to fix it though that would help as I live in Jamaica now and would have to send it to my brother in Florida so he could UPS to you and you return to his address.
